TEACHER ANDY

"Children are natural learners, they explore, discover and learn through play. As a teacher my job is to set the stage and then let the 'play' begin."
BACKGROUND
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • I was on the very first parent board, 23 years ago, when the preschool started so when I was hired it felt like a homecoming.
  • I believe very strongly in the co-op system, not only for the children but because of the positive impact on the whole family.
  • The parents who are involved in preschool will continue to be involved in their child’s education throughout high school. Children get the message loud and clear that education is fun, exciting and very, very important.
  • I try to have as many child directed activities as possible. Children are excited to come to school and see what might be happening. I love to have children walk in and say, “What are we learning about today?”
  • Children are natural learners, they explore, discover and learn through play. As a teacher my job is to set the stage and then let the "play" begin.
  •  I feel very fortunate to have a job I truly enjoy!
